Lovely vegetal design with an insect on top of the lid.

Lorraine Cross and Thistle hand painted with the words:

" Qui s'y frotte s'y pique ".

This is a ceramic from Emile Gallé in Nancy.

Signed Gallé Nancy.

Dimensions: 16,5 x 4,5 cm    Hight: 9 cm

Period: 1870 - 1890

No repairs, no hairlines, only one chip under the lid, and some enamel missings of use on border.
