Micronized Polyethylene (PE) Wax

Polyethylene wax with drop melting point 130ºC is extremely hard and must be diluted or prediluted in 100% aromatic solvent (xylene, shellsol A, etc.) at least 25 minutes in a water bath
Pure polyethylene wax increses abrasion resistance and used as dry lubricant. Blended with other waxes provide a non-sticky finish and improves wearing, scratch and impact resistance.

Component of Renaissance Wax

We suggest proportion of 100-200gr of wax or wax blend to 1 liter of solvent. One version of the formulation can be found in the Materials for Conservation: Organic Consolidants, Adhesives and Coatings book
