The wine Foral D. Henrique glorifies the city’s foundation. The delivery of the royal document – Foral – to Mangualde, former Zurara or Azurara da Beira, in 1102, was granted by Count Henry and his wife Teresa. Hence, the inspiration for our DOC Dão wines Foral D. Henrique.
