The historical and socio-cultural heritage is depicted in our Interpretation Center in four different approaches: TOURISTIC (photographic collection of the main touristic attractions of local Mangualde municipality); AGRICULTURAL (photographic collection of vine cultivation in the 40's); SOCIOCULTURAL (recreation of the viticulture scene, with costumed mannequins at the time of the cellar of the constitution - 60s); INDUSTRIAL (equipment, machinery and tools used in traditional viticulture and winemaking).

The growth, development and characteristics of the vines depend on the terroir in which they are implemented, then the region is a crucial element in the wine sector, contributing to the creation of wines with creased identity and unique attributes. The Wine & Vine Interpretation Center, provides an historical background on the region, as well as its geographical location, climate and grape varieties.

The process of vine cultivation is presented with focus on three main themes: MORPHOLOGY AND VEGETATIVE CYCLE OF THE VINE (anatomical and physiological understanding of the vine growth stages and growth factors in their annual cycle); VINE GROWING (set of installation processes, maintenance and driving of the vineyard); DISEASES OF THE VINE (the enemies of vine cultivation).

The art of winemaking. This exhibition covers the process of the transformation of grapes in red, white or rosé wine, also addressing the theme of wood and its impact on the wine.

The exhibition dedicated to the Wine provides in a practical and active manner, the complex and unique sensory experience of the wine tasting, which takes place in several stages and with different specificities.

The cooperative movement plays a key role in agricultural sectors. Browsing the story of any Cooperative Winery is to understand the socio-cultural traditions inherent to wine production. Thus was created an exhibition center dedicated to the history of the Cooperative Winery of Mangualde, where visitors have the opportunity to get to know the history of a cooperative with more than half a century.
